It is with great sadness that we have decided to close the doors at Griffins Home Accents for good. We will be initiating our GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE on Wednesday April 14, 2009. Everything in the store will be on discounted 20% - 70% off. Every single item in the store must go! All merchandise, fixtures, office supplies, etc. Come early for best selection!

On behalf of our employees and our families, we wish to thank you for your patronage these past years. We have had a lot of positive comments on our store and have been proud to be a part of the Ocala business community. We have very much enjoyed the challenge of running the store, as well as the valued relationships we have established with both our staff and customers. We have strived to satisfy customers needs and create a fun-shopping atmosphere. This sale is our way of thanking you for your past business, come in and stock up on great savings. This was a very tough decision for us to make, but we believe everything works out for the best and we appreciate your support.

Hey everybody, I am sure you have gotten a couple of emails with a few little teasers about what is coming from CHA, but I wanted to share it here too!!! I am sorry that the link didn't work in the last email sent out, so I am going to link it here so you can see the Ali Edwards stamps sets that will be coming in from Technique Tuesday. I have heard some excitement from customers about these stamps so I will be sending out an arrival email. Keep an eye on your inbox, wink. Another company that I am really excited about is Daisy Bucket, just wait till you see the lines from them, I don't even have a boy but I am so lovin' the cute monster line we have coming. They do have some other lines that are totally adorable. Their large chipboard pieces are over the top and I have some classes in mind for them as soon as they get here!!!
The new Teresa Collins product is to die for. She has a new family line, journal line and well her recipe line is simply gorgeous. Can't wait for this one either, I think they might be shipping out next week, let's keep our fingers crossed.
And well I can't send out info without mentioning Heidi Swapp. Her stuff simply put is AMAZING!!! Everyone know I love her stuff and she has not disappointed. Her new invisible line is so innovative, and will blow your mind. It is so cool and different, something your definitely going to want to add to your stash. Ok, so we haven't been doing a very good job at posting on our blog lately :( Shame on us. We promise to do better! :) We do want to let all of you know that we are currently running a Christmas Food Drive. Bring any non-perishable food items to Griffins by Sunday Dec. 21st and Griffins will reward you with one Griffins Dollar for each pound of food you bring in, up to 20 Griffins Dollars. Our Thanksgiving food drive generated more than 800 pounds of food! We want to make the Christmas food drive even better! So bring those items in and save some $$$!

Slice news...

Wow, the SLICE is finally here and we are so excited. We have one open and ready to give you a demo on how awesome this little baby is. We have some big news!!! We are now offering Webkinz, scrapbooking, and beading birthday parties.

At your Webkinz party you will be be able to play games based on your favorite Webkinz activities from Webkinz World such as the Wheel of Wow, Gem Hunt and the Wishing Well.
Prizes will be awarded for the games. Also, don't forget to have guests bring their favorite Webkinz pet dressed in it's favorite outfit, we have a special stage for the to get their picture taken.
Our packages range from the Basic, which includes a Party Host and the Webkinz games, to the Deluxe package that includes Pizza, webkinz themed cake, goodie bags, invitations, and a Webkinz prize for the birthday child. All the parent needs to do is send out the invitations and show up for the party.
The scrapbooking and Beading parties are designed to offer the unique opportunity to learn about scrapbooking or beading and have some fun. All guests will get instructions on a project designed especially for their group and will go away with a completed project. Some of the packages include cake, pizza, and more. Just wanted to let everyone know we got in a HUGE order from American Crafts will all sorts of new thickers, papers, and their new cardstock. The new cardstock is perfect for matching up to American Crafts fabulous papers. They also introduced new cardstock packs that are color coordinated to the seasons that come in these cute packs ready made for easy organization.
Friday We received the New HEIDI SWAPP papers, a few embellishments and some new TIM HOLTZ stuff. We should be getting more Heidi and Tim stuff this week, woo hoo. Everything is moving out fast so hurry in and get yours now.

Denny and Fran to Kansas City

Denny and I will be off to Kansas City this weekend to buy for the fall catalog we send out in Nov. Looking forward to some new and fun things. We'll visit with several hundred other independent store owners and will take lots of notes on items that are doing well in their stores across the country. We found the Poopourri that has the cutest saying. "Spray before you go, and no-one will ever no" that one of the stores is selling like gang busters. And it really works!!! Denny can't wait to dig into the great BBQ too. Will take a picture.

Webkinz Extravaganza this Weekend!!!

In case you haven't heard. This weekend is the nationwide celebration of Webkinz Day! We have so much fun planned it's almost ridiculous! The whole thing starts Friday at 5:00. You will be able to come in to the store and spin the Wheel of WOW! Just like in Webkinz World you can spin the wheel once per day and collect a prize. You will also receive a free Webkinz pet, from a special selection, with any purchase of $10 or more.

The fun continues on Saturday and Sunday! The Webkinz giveaway with purchase continues while supplies last. From noon - 4:00 both days we will be having more games and you'll be able to purchase hot dogs, cotton candy, and more. (Proceeds from the food sales will be donated to The Nicole Watson Family. She is the young mother who lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind her husband and two young boys.)
